The interplay between the structure of the nuclei and the way such a structure is reflected on the dynamics of nuclear reactions has been one of the most fruitful and efficient way of studying nuclear properties. This approach can be even more efficient in the study of the nuclei far from stability valley. The extension of the microscopic theories as well as the developing of the reaction mechanisms, supported by the experimental results, should favour and deepen the interpretation of new phenomena recently found, in particular those related to medium-heavy nuclei with neutron excess which will be produced by the new european facilities like SPIRAL2, HI-ISOLDE and SPES.
The workshop will give the occasion to gather the experts of the field to discuss the results achieved in the last years and their perspective.
