Description
Launch Event of the CHAIN (Co-ordination and Harmonisation of Advanced eInfrastructures) project.
The project co-funded by the European Union in the 7th Framework Program starts on 1 December 2010 and will last for 24 months.
The Launch Event aims at disseminating the eInfrastructures themes and the action that CHAIN will perform gathering experience from Regional eInfrastructures in several continents. The second part of the event will explore the possible synergies with Virtual Research Communities that have an inter-continental span and will take advantage of interoperable infrastructures providing critical resources such as computing, storage, data repositories and remote access to unique laboratories.

The event is organised by INFN in cooperation with GARR and CNR.
Special thanks to CNR for the availability of the conference room.
